If you guys are really worried about the expense of holding a couple gallons of water at 135 degrees in a plastic container, you could use a cooler as your container.   It does take some advance planning for sure.   

It can also accelerate ageing or mimic dry aging but that is another story.   Has to do with enzymes and all that.

Must be lots less cookin' goin' on around here lately...no HD plates of...of...those green things...no FISH fried up by that smurf...no grilled 15 lb rump roasts with bacon and shrimp by boober...no bags of boiled jasmine rice balls in wasabi sauce by Delmar..... :confused:

Posted the sous vide chuck roast this morning.   What more do you want?   Had costco rotisserie chicken and baked potato for dinner tonight.   With mixed veggies.

Some stuff we don't buy because the packages are too big.  But they have a lot of stuff we really like at good prices.    And I just freeze meat in meal size packages.
