no rice today, beans and sweet corn and some sliced ripe olives along with colored peppers and onion...  1 1/2 pound burger, salsa and seasoning...  smells good in the kitchen!!

That taco casserole has the rice mixed in with it, not a lot of it. Just gives it some body with the thick sauce.

took some of my left over american fries, heated them up and proceeded to make a cheesy, potato omelet..  good eats!!   :happy1:

when we were at the grocery store the other day we seen Famous Dave's has another corn bread out for fall..  no pumpkin!!  it's called autumn spice and it's made with cinnamon and nut meg.. got it in the oven now so we will see how it tastes in about 30 minutes!!!!

Tonite for me, it's the lowly weenie, with MUSTARD and onyums...and that broccoli salad I didn't get to last nite. Ate my last 'mater too, dang it.

Momma didn't waste anytime going into fall, big batch o chili burbling on the stove when I got home.  Pretty sure we're corn bread less this round but I'll be on the lookout for what you found Mike!

So how do you cook your chicken?  I have been baking or grilling but still don't have it down perfectly.  Pretty darn good but not perfect.  Love fried but kind of a mess.

Well, I didn't wanna be running in and out to the grills tonite. So, I oil it up, and shake on some McCormick Perfect Pinch Rotisserie Chicken seasoning and it goes on the little broiler tray (so the grease drips thru into lower pan) in one of my stovetop ovens. Set it at 375* for about 40 mns for 2 really big thighs.
By the time I'm done making taters, gravy, and stuffing, chicky's all done.
I usually put the oven on Broil for last 2-3 minutes to brown the outside. Can see that in the pic. It sure hit the spot tonite, and enough leftovers for another duplicate meal!  :tongue:
