Not positive, but I think they're all batch #2. I might have planted the others too deep....they were in kinda tough shape from being bagged in garage all winter. I shoulda opened up the bag to give 'em some air..they got kinda mushy.

I planted about 20 of your onions Glenn.  We weeded last night and could only find 3 that came up.  They are about 3" tall.  Will be fun to see how they do.  I found some of the bulbs that were hollow.  I also found a small light tan caterpillar about an inch long.  Actually two of them.  Wonder what they are???

I had a couple hollow ones, too....   Maybe Glenn should issue a recall, but I think he's skirting the issue....

I thank you for the ones that made it Glenn.  We are fairly new to gardening so we have a lot to learn also.  I need to google those inch long tan caterpillars that I found in the garden..

Well I am out of winter onions.  No I didn't eat a single one of them.  A few survived the winter and came up in my raised garden.  I pulled the grasses around them and then there were only 3, then down to 2, then only one left and I looked today and it is gone.  It was about 6" high and looking healthy.  I think something took them.  There are no tracks so a critter reached in and swiped them.  Deer??

Tell ya what.....I have gray squirrels and red squirrels in my yard......the ones that do the MOST destruction in my gardens, are the red.....

But, for some reason....they get lead poisoning and die though....

The lead thing in red squirrels must be contagious.  They all die from it up here too.  I don't have many grays so we leave them alone.
