I have been using a Remington .270 Model Four autoloader.  Got it in trade years ago.  I am thinking of getting a .243 for deer hunting and also maybe to pop a coyote or whatever.  I am thinking it would be a comfortable low kicking gun to have but still able to knock down a deer.  I am looking at a Savage Model11Trophy Predator Hunter.  Comes with a scope.  Nice looking gun.  Remington has one that is similar and is a little cheaper.  What do you all think?  http://www.cabelas.com/product/SAVAGE-TROPHY-PREDATOR-HUNTER-MOB-RIFLE/1813456.uts

I prefer savages combo at mills.

Just ordered it from Streiffs in Warroad.  Beat Cabelas by $50.  Got it for $600 and MSRP is $715.  Pretty excited.  Will get it in a week, they had to order it.  Would have gone to Mills but not one near us.

You do trades? ;) That's a good looking rifle. I have a couple buddies with >243 that swear by them. Low kick and FAST! Lots of ammo choices too.

Not sure if I will sell it or not HD. Haven't given that much thought.  It is in great condition.

LPS, have you ever checked with Tim at Coast True value in Roseau. His prices are usually better then Strieff and he is better to deal with in my opinion.

I never thought of Coast in Roseau.  I will remember that though.  Strieff's does carry my Ice Rigs in the ice season so thought I would give them a chance.
