Talk about an exciting first hunt for a ten year old.  He went in a tree stand with his dad on Friday morning.  I decided to hunt nearby to be there if he shot something.  About 9 AM I heard deer running and a buck grunting.  They came flying by at full speed.  I tried to stop the buck but he just kept going so I started fired three shots.  He stopped about 125 yards away but there was no shot.  I saw him move off in my grandsons direction.  After 15 minutes I went to look for blood.  I found fairly good blood trail indicating he should pass by about 75 yards from the stand my son and grandson were in.  I never saw the deer but I could see my son and his son in the tree stand.  Then, Bang, "he's down".  Turns out my grand son saw a doe run by and his dad said get ready at which time he put up his gun and said I see a buck.  About the time my son saw the buck, my grandson fired one shot and dropped him.
