I sat this evening and seen nothing. Checked my cameras and the buck that's haunting me from gun season was on it (forgot to take my safety off and lost my only shot opportunity at him)

Well I got back from Muzzy hunting and still came up zero with venison but 100% on memories.  Just hunted with my brother, but we sure had a great time.  Stayed at my brothers each night and drove up 40 miles to camp each day.  The weather was nice and not much wind.  Best thing about the day's I spent is seeing a moose.  Saw the tracks earlier in the week.  Then I was sitting in my nephews stand [ a portable way high up], getting too high for me these days, but I made her up.  I heard some noise and I thought that was my brother making a drive toward me. [He loves to do that].  But then I saw the young bull.  Small rack on him but a very nice sight to see. 

haven't seen a moose here for at least 10 years.  Would have had a great shot at him, but I hope he finds a cow to help out their population.  Heard that lone wolf again also.  Found a fresh pile of his or her's crap near my brothers stand near the cedar swamp.  Jumped a few along with my brother.  They were in thick stuff.  This was my first time muzzy hunting and I sure want to do this again next year.  My wife has her other knee operation this Tuesday so hunting is over for me.  Ice fishing is next.  good luck.

Glad to hear you enjoyed the ML hunting, I envy you seeing a young bull moose. I hope your wifes knee surgery goes well.

LOL!!  that's about it.  have to say that the firearms and muzzy season have been great weather wise for me but I hear it's going to get cold.  But I'ts best if it's on the cool side for hunting because I think deer move better in my opinion. good luck.

That sounds like a complete success to me RH.  Seeing that moose would have been great!!  AND having a good time with your brother is great too!!

Second blizzard in a week here in central Nodak.....I can't get to my place with out a sled after the first storm... lots of 5-8' drifts everywhere.  Muzzle hunting is  out, maybe one last bow hunt.

I saw 10 deer...just nothing close....no bucks.

Fresh snow and snow falling made for a great day walking in the woods.  I wanted to walk up on a big buck but only ran into does and fawns. I had four different deer in the sights at 30-40 yards but didn't pull the trigger.  For some reason they weren't skittish at all in the light snow.  If I watched them for a while they just went back to browsing.  It was quit fun none the less.
