went to fleet farm today. needed to get dog food and things I wont be able to lift after surgery. I always seem to walk past the isles right up front where they got all those knicky knack crap. just so happened to have the garden seed packs out............soooooo I gotz me all my seed packets for da garden!!!!!! :happy1: :happy1: :woot:

Yesterday while having a few  :toast: I put my pepper seeds and some flowers seeds in containers to get started with my garden. Flowers where cleomes and butterfly milkweed seeds

No, Monarch airlines does!  :rotflmao: Monarch's main food source is the milkweed. That's why plant lotsa them. Huge decline in Monarch's over the years. Bad deal.

never planted flowers, the wife did all that.  I know wild milkweed works for that, but know nothing about the rest for the monarchs.

Mike, yes they do. The hummingbird like them to. Ya need to babysit them that first year. If they come back year 2 they should make it. Since I planted them I've had more monarchs around. Ali's had there cacoons on the plants. They like hot, lots of sun.  I have the orange ones.

so they are perennial?  that would be nice, the orange one's would match the new H-D!!  are there lots of colors? hummers would be bonus too!

Yes they are perennial. They have a really large main root. Once there planted, and established if you try to move them they will die! There is a bunch on 94 between Clearwater and Monticello. And along old 371going into Brainard. They are usually in full bloom July and August.

For the butterfly milkweed. I originally bought plants. Think from Jung's. Since then I saved seeds from the biggest plants and started them that way
