I plant them in the garden every year and never start them early.  Mark it on the calendar Glenn pulled one over on Reb.

Alright gents, mater's and peppers are doing super, but I has a question.  I was really careful and only put one seed in each pot but I have three super steak mater's growing side by side. Should I snip two of them off or try to grow a mega plant in a 5 gallon pail?

I'm thinking of putting in a wooden above ground plot to do some peas, beans, carrots and the such in. Anyone have a drawing I can use as a guide to build one? Thinking about 36" by 72" to start out with. Thanks.

UMM The 26th a feb UH?Thats about what 18 days? Give em time, My experience is that they are a tough to sprout seed sometimes 30 days.Makes it hard with moisture an seed contact. the bottom soil stays wet while the topsoil drys out!! Then you'll get spindly plants!Best peppers I ever ate for sweets.I put mine in around the same time an still awaitin. I put in 6 dozen seeds.Best way I found to water is a spritz a water everyother day from a spray bottle to not saturate the bottom soil,Course temps have to be at least 70 an preferable 80 after sprout the soil can cool down.I am goin to go check mine right now'I have a polinater garden sproutin bout 10 dozen different types a flower an milkweeds that sprouted days ago for that new garden. The Margrets aren t showin YET!!! keep da faith baby they'll pop

 ??? HO GOTZ DEM PEAS??
There is a story behind this post. Down in Texas my buddy grew 5 acres a some kinda brown peas,He realized prices droped so much he'd give em away rather than the time and costs to harvest, was 1996.He put a ad in the clarksfield,Tx newspaper that said free peas you pick.
The next few days we had so many older black wimmen commin over an each said "whos got dem peas" Now days when we phone each other the first thing we say when he or me answers a phone is whos got dem peas
