Most of the time, it's because the picture was taken on a phone with the phone positioned up and down, vertically length wise. If you hold your phone horizontally length wise, the pictures will be stored and posted correctly.

no, you are wrong, when taking a picture with yur phone you have to edit it, select tue pic u want,  hit edit, up.will pop adjustment, bring it in from each side a little, hit save that picture will now come out up right. if you hit more you can see the size of the picture, and weather its allowed, jpeg will not up load, but if you resize it it will turn to jpg.and will upload.

I think it depends on the phone. Androids, have to be sideways, and the file size is huge. Apple, I'm not sure.

yup. Im tlking android here, sorry was in a hurry on last post. with android..

1 take picture.
2. open gallery and seect the picture you want to upload.. tap on picture.
3 hit edit on bottom of picture.
4 up will pop adjustment  tone   effects  drawing  add image..
5 hit  adjustment.
6. a grid will appear over the picture allowing you to, with your finger move the grind in from left to right and up and down. do this and you will see what i mean.
7. when youve adjusted to what you want. hit apply.  the adjused picture will appear, if you like it then hit save at the top right corner. now the picture is saved to you gallery and can be uploaded without being cockeyed.
7. if you take a picture fron the facebook or interent and especially if someone sends you a picture to post like glenn dose to me, save to your gallerry, but then your have to edit thru the abouve process, cause it will be in a jpeg format or another that will not be accepted. when you tap on the picture you want, the upper right corner ther is the word more, if you hit that and then hit details, it will tell you the size of your picture and most importantly the format.

Wow, great instructions Boar.  If I had to do that with every picture I wanted to post I would have only posted one.  Short story, get and apple?
