The swamp is feed by a couple lakes, so the run off flooded what was already froze raising the level about a foot. Then it froze with a crust of a 1/2 of ice on top of that. I tried driving on it with my wheeler and broke through right away. It's clear ice so you don't know how much is ice, and how much is water till you break though. If it froze enough. I could prolly walk out there with a sled full of bolts and tools, distributing the weight out....that's what I'm going to try today.
