Have you made this?

Butter a baking dish and pat dry your fillets. These were mainly crappie, one gill. Lay them out in a single layer. Season with Old Bay and salt. Melt a few tbls of butter in a dish and mix in a tbls or 2 of lemon pepper seasoning. Pour the mixture over the fish. Top with paprika. Slice some onion super thin and spread that over the fish. Bake in a 350 degree for 20 minutes. Baste the fish with the butter and continue cooking for 5 more minutes. Fish should flake easily when done.

Looks good to me!! I always prefer to bake my fish with lotsa butter, some salt and pecker, and dill weed with some paprika. Pretty close to the same thing.... :happy1:

I don't want any pecker anywhere near my fish.

do this one and like well.  the fish in the oven we put cooked dressing on the bottom of the pan, greased first, dressing, fish and depending on the thickness of the fish.  maybe another layer of dressing.. of course seasoned too!!  great meat!!
a bad day of fishing is still better than a good day at work!!

I do the same thing pretty much in the oven.   Really like pike that way.  One thing I do miss though is shore lunch up north in the wild with fish fillets and some crisco in a iron pan.  Of course everything tastes better in the outdoors.  good luck.
