Slime them! Putting in 24 oz per ATV tire will prevent some flat tires on the trail ride!

Thanks for bringing this up again.  I am getting a gallon of that stuff.  I am so tired of filling ATV tires and even lawn mower tires.

What happens to green slime in winter? Does it freeze and give you a very rough ride?

NO I Leave my gallon jug in the garage all winter. The warnings on the jug says can be used on car/truck tires but it will mess up the tire balance at higher speeds.Great stuff and it says for holes up to 1/4 inch it will work on. Thats a big hole!

We've used to seal a leaky weather checked sidewall on a 25 year Craftsman lawn tractor. Thought we could just tube 'em but nobody had the right tubes, put a new tire on 1 side but it was close to $40. After fixing 1 we found the other & didn't want waste a 1/2 a day to run 40 miles back to GR. We had a couple bottles of Slime that had been sitting around, so we tried that. Been at least 3-4 years now. Good stuff. :happy1:

I have procrastinated on this stuff.  Thanks for bringing it up AGAIN.  lol  Got the lawn mower out today for the first time.  I put tubes in the little front tires last year.  THAT is not an easy project.  They are so little it is hard to get them off and back on without wrecking the tube.  I am not a tire man.....   I am ordering Slime tonight...   I know I have said this before but I am ordering a gallon of it tonight.   Thanks for the info....   My Atv tires are always low too.

I wanted to give you an update on the Slime I used.  My pontoon trailer tires have tread like new tires but the sides are real weather checked.  They would go flat within an few weeks.  I gave them a good slime job back when HD brought this up in 2017.  They are holding air great now.  I mean all winter long and they are still aired up.  Amazing.  I did put some in my wheeler tires too.  My pull behind mower has little tires that went flat too but with the slime they are holding up just great too.  They stay aired up over the winter too.  I do give them a shot of air it they need it.  Thanks HD.

It's a little spendy but not really compared to a new tire, we try to keep a bottle or 2 around up here all the time. :happy1:

If I drove it very far I would have gotten new tires but I go 2 miles to the access then home so 8 miles a year.

I always carry a bottle in my ATV trunk and Dualsport bike bag when I had it along with a valve tool and air pump.
I only use it for flats to get back to the truck. I don't want to chance being 20 miles out with little rubber bits stuck in holes to long.

Most of my 4 wheelers and quads have had it in at least some of the tires. Lawnmowers too. Tires stay up good.  :happy1: The local tire guys like a heads up if you use it. They'll even scoop it out and stick it in the new tire if you're replacing it. They frown on it if you use it with a tire that has had a tube put in it. Makes a real mess they tell me so I don't do that.
