I'm checking out the catfish bait thing on the home page and I see that first thing.  That great looking stew in a can.  It was making my mouth water.  After I read them all I had to go back to that first stuff.  IT'S DOG FOOD.  It looks better than any people food that I have ever seen in a can.  Puts Dinty Moore to shame.  Look at all of that meat.

I read that too. Dinty Moore IS dog food.  :puke:  My old fishing partner used to love the stuff. He had to cook up a batch every time we did a tourney somewhere and we were staying in a cabin or tent. I always said the canned Alpo I gave my pooch looked and smelled better than that crap.
Wondered why they didn't list chicken livers and gizzards...we'd get a pint of these from the butcher when we were young and leave 'em sit outside for a couple days....boy, they worked!  P U!!!

When I lived in Stillwater I had a 32' houseboat.  We were on it every weekend.  I had a few of the old guys on the river show me some good spots to fish.  Caught flatheads up to about 40 lbs and lots of channels.  I only kept the channels that were under 10 lbs and let the rest go.  Man do they smoke up good.  I called them St. Croix salmon.  lol  I followed some tip and got some chicken livers.  Put them in an mayonnaise jar and sit it on the roof of a car on a real hot day.  Well I did that and they started bubbling and turned jet black.  Just like a jar of paint.  I was so excited to try them.  Well I got upriver and opened the jar and it almost knocked me over.  lol  I got a baggie and put it on my hand before grabbing one out if the jar.  Well of course when putting them on the hook I punctured the bag.  My hand stunk for days.  Didn't work as good as big minnows did.  I used big live bait for flatheads and cut up bait for channels.  Man did I love catfishing.  Haven't done it for years...

Ya know seeing that can of Spam is getting me to weaken.  I may have to open up my annual can of it soon.  Then eat half of it and throw the rest away.   :rotflmao:  Maybe a Spam sandwich tomorrow at work too.  Thanks HD... :happy1:

Ya I will definitely have to fry some up too.  And Glenn nothing spells "classy" like Velveeta.  :rotflmao: May have to go buy a box of that too.  Grew up on that stuff.  Nothing melts better than Velveeta.  :happy1:  My sister in law gags everytime I mention it.  SO I love to mention it...   :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

Mom used it on scrambled eggs.  Also made the best macaroni and cheese when mixed with a little milk.

Oh ya that's right Velveeta melted on vegs was great too.  Well I guess to be as classy as Glenn I am going to buy a box of it.  Man been a long time.  I may even buy another can of Spam and try a Spam and Velveeta sandwich.  Not sure I have actually tried it.
