Anyone feed the orioles? Had them right away. I got juice and grape jelly out. Bet I haven't seen one in a month. When this jar of jelly is gone those feeders are gone and the wasp traps go out.

Not sure Glenndall... I'm out in the sticks.. closest town is 15 to 20 miles away.

My farm has a pretty good wood line, and open field.

Maybe!! :bonk: LPS, up until the lady 2 years we never had orioles at the cabin either. I put Oriole feeders up but might be to late. Next year I'll be ready!

Have had both orioles and hummingbirds since back in May sometime. The orioles, both Baltimore and orchard types, have consumed about 8 quart jars of jelly in roughly two months and now it looks like their young are starting to come to the feeders so they're picking up the pace. We've had a bunch of catbirds helping themselves too so it isn't all orioles. The hummers were running through about a pint of sugar water a week. In the past week their activity has slowed somewhat so they may be feeding young, whose diet is primarily insects.
Time itself is bought and sold, the spreading fear of growing old contains a thousand foolish games that we play. (Neil Young)

We had an oriole here a couple of times is all.  We do have a hummer here often but haven't even had to refill the feeder yet.
