Finally got out!

Mama and I finally got out fishing. Pretty late start for us, but life gets in the way sometimes.....

We caught a lot of small fish, but was able to get enough for a meal.

I got a late start this year too.  Cancer treatment and heart issues slowed me down a bit.  We ate our first meal of fish last Friday.  The sunnies are biting on Prior.  Had a ball with my daughter and her boyfriend catching 45 of 'em.  Hoping to get a run in this week again.

Thanks Glen. How ya been?  New/used boat this year.  Old 16 ft.Sylvan.  Walk through windshield, Minn Kota up front, 75 h.p Johnson in the back.  4 seats behind the windshield, and one up front on the casting platform.   She's nothing to look at, but I don't have to climb over the bench seats in my old 14' Lund any more.

Cathy's doing the gluten free thing, so no Shore Lunch or anything like that.  We really like crushed Nacho Doritio's.  Works good, and a little different taste.  Good stuff!

didnt wanna start a new tread so i picked one. i actually gotz a fishing question.

i havent used live bait all summer, anyone got a clue as the the availability of leeches? i got a couple top secret fishin missions coming up and would like to have some leeches just in case!!!!!!!!!!!

I hear they're in WAY short supply....but that was back in May/June. Might call around to da bait shops.

There haven't been any up here for the last couple weeks, at least. The ones I have, I bought the first part of August & it looked like the supply was getting low then. We even stopped at the baitshop between Cohassett & DR on the way home on Wednesday. They usually will have them for a week or 2 after Fred's does.
