Mama was cooking dinner, and I needed to run to town for the groceries I didn't get to pick up over the weekend cause the oil change, that didn't go well.....Bla! Bla! Bla!

Why didn't the oil change go well?
See... Jr had been telling me for a week that he was going to change my oil.... but his girlfriend came home from college on Christmas break. We were going to have Christmas dinner at our house, but I had forgotten a few things. So,  while he was out running around, I decided to change the oil myself. Drained the oil pulled the filter, went to put the new filter on, it was the wrong one, went to start the truck to go to town, truck wouldn't start cause of the subzero temp..... I felt my blood start to boil.... after 6 hours of  :censored: around, I got the truck to start, went to town, got my stuff, came home, changed the oil.... then, Jr comes home, and says "you didn't have to change the oil, I was going to do that'

Needless to say... I had to walk away...

Well, I'm new ta dis tread an figured I share my misery wit da MNO forum crew. Let's see now where ta start. Let's start wit da good stuff first. Borgie went ta Bingo last night and won $340.00. I don't ask her how much she had to invest to win dat dough. Now da way I look at it is dat $340.00 ain't da net profit. I figure she invested at least $140.00 to win da $340.00.

Da days of puttin a piece a corn on yer numbers is long gone. Also using dem bingo chips is obsolete. Now ya can rent da bingo computer if you got da cash and it plays da game for ya.
Now let's take a realistic look at dis (sport/hobby/entertainment). She goes every Sunday and if she wins that gets reinvested into going again on Thursdays. Da odds are she will loose what she won on her last outing. I compare it to going to da casino. Wit da odds in favor of da house.

Most folks like ta tell everyone what day won but not what day lost.

So she used my car fur bingo because the son has his in da shop and is using her car. So, today we had a whole list of errands to take care of after cleaning up da snow. Borgie goes out ta start da car and comes back in da house and announces :angry2: CRAP! I tells myself "now what". da :mad1: car won't start says she. I go back out and she's right! :doah: I put da charger on fur 4 hrs and den gave it a shot. Na-da nuttin! I made some calls about getting a new battery. "Sure we got what you need just bring da car in." So between da charger being on I took a shot at starting it. Nada! Nix! Nuttin! :bonk:

I'll grab da neighbor since he just pulled in his drive. Can ya gim-e a jump? Sure say's he. :happy1: Well dat didn't work. :angry2: I've got an extra battery I'll bring it over he said. That didn't work either. He tested my battery and It registered 12.3 volts. That wasn't da problem I guess. Sounds like it might be da starter but all dat stuff is beyond my knowledge.

I just got done waving good bye to my 2009 Grand marques as the tow truck hauled her away. Well at least Borgie got dat one last start out a her when she left da bingo last night. :embarrassed:

Through determination and perseverance my grandson with my help, set a new school record in the marble drop.  Old record was 2 minutes and 8 seconds.  We beat that time by a full 4 seconds.  The project involved building a maze of shoots, and drops to get the longest time it takes a marble to make it out the end.  There are rules you have to follow.  We used only stuff I had in the garage.  Pictured is the basic structure and we added triggers that released additional marbles.  Believe me, lots of things can, and did, go wrong.  You just never know how a marble will bounce or roll.

***I started out with nothing, and I still have most of it.***
