There are times I do think that hangings in the public square may actually be beneficial.   This is one of those times.  I would include the scam Dr. who abused the gymnast girls.  Noone under 21 could attend.

Friends of the Geisenkoetter family of Wyoming, Minn., have organized a Feb. 10 memorial benefit for Alan Geisenkoetter Jr., the 8-year-old killed when an allegedly drunken snowmobiler plowed through his family’s ice fishing site on Chisago Lake.

The benefit will take place from noon to 4 p.m. at the Chisago Lake boat launch with a suggested donation of $5 for the family of Ellie and Alan Geisenkoetter Sr. The event is being billed as a dry, family-oriented day of ice fishing.

Alan Jr. lived for five days after he was struck Jan. 26. His father was hospitalized with injuries, but has since been released from the hospital.

The snowmobile driver, Eric J. Coleman, 45, of Chisago City, faces one count of criminal vehicular homicide, one count of criminal vehicular operation and a charge of drunken driving.

I still just don't understand life in prison. They spend their lives there; maybe learn their lesson, and then die. What's it accomplish? Lotsa money paid out for nothing. Execution.

How about "Death by Bunga Bunga" - state penitentiary style.

What???! Are you smoking that west coast wacko weed again???! A bullet costs more than 50 yrs of food, clothing, shelter, etc???!!!

The annual average taxpayer cost in the US is $31,286 per inmate.

Cut out the judicial processes, special confinement processes, appeals, etc, immediately after being found guilty, death row appeals, etc, and  shoot 'em,  and save a ton of money.

But lawyers and judges for all the appeals etc really are expensive.  And the 10 or 20 years on death row....
