The flowering crab on the south side of my house looks great right now. Only wish they would stay like that for more than a few days or the first good wind. Great pictures de.

My dad always said best time to plant a tree was yesterday, and today isn't too bad either.

One advantage of planting apples in an isolated areas is that the pests like apple maggots are not around so you don't need to spray much to get nice apples.

Yes, but you get big pests like bears.

Got my own apple trees...  but not spraying since I am gone north in summer.   So apples not very useful except as deer food.

I noticed your cages around the trees. What we found works wonders is a roll of welded wire for reinforcing concrete. It’s about 75$ a roll and you can easily pull it open and lift it off the tree for weeding or picking.

Our crop is small this year .. but we had plums for the first time on some bare root stock we planted years ago. So yeahhhh 3 plums.. beat that
