Correctamundo Rebs! I think you should send Barry some of yer little humping bugs in trade! Those worms while adding protein to the smoothies wouldn't have the nice crunchy texture that the humping bugs would... :rotflmao:
:rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

They may feel like nuts in the smoothie.   :happy1:

I know THAT one...that's an army worm!!!! Bad little dudes.....

https://www.planetnatural.com/pest-problem-solver/garden-pests/armyworm-control/

I guess you can freeze lettuce for a smoothie.  You want to put it in the blender frozen though.  I wondered if that was an army worm.  I remember back in the early 2000's how bad they were.  Falling out of trees on us all summer.  Hope they aren't coming back.

On the internet!  You can put any fruit or veggie in a smoothie as far as I know.

Great job on those!!!  I've seen those large beautiful red one's before and always wondered where you can get those.  Didn't know they were called Cannas.  I'll go check around here in the nursery's for them.  good luck.

Oh, so they only grow for the summer and then you have to dig them up and store them?  Don't know much about plants.  good luck.

Yes, the tubers need to be dug up and stored inside over winter.  Good thing is they are prolific as I usually dig about half of them and then plant about 2/3 of the ones I dug.  I give away the rest of them.  Reinhard, if you aren't too far from Big Lake, I can save you some.

Ya, it's always a sad deal when the cukes and maters are done. No cukes this year but the maters are just starting to produce here. The string beans probably have one more picking yet. The flower gardens have been very pretty. The bees, butterflies and hummingbirds have had a heyday this summer & early fall. The morning glories I'd written off earlier due to flea beetles and leaf disease sprang to life in late summer. They made their way up the electric pole just as they have for many moons.

Possibly although they just come back from seed each year now. it's been many moons since I planted any there. Every few years tho I get a bug up my @ss & buy a packet to mix in some different colors. You can see the resulting magenta colored blossoms scattered among the blue ones. The hummingbirds have hit the morning glories harder this year than I recall in the past. They've got it made here. Cannas, morning glories, four o'clocks, coleus, salvia, impatiens, petunias, feeders, etc. Haven't seen any orioles today so they likely will have exclusive access to that nectar feeder now too.
