OK looking for some opinions and options. my wife said we pay close to $150 bucks a month for dish. that and all these f@#%^&*( games they play with dropping channels because there pissing on each other I've had it. when they shut down FSN and threaten to quit providing channel 4/CBS I draw the line. so I did a little googling at these options;
Hulu
YouTubeTV
Spectrum
sling

at first glance I like Hulu. so....what does everyone else have and why??????

I need the local channels, FSN, I believe both the twins and Vikings are here, ION, AMC, and a few others I cant recall right now.

my wife likes Hallmark and some of the other sappy channels.

i'm ready to tell our current provide to pack sand with all there crap!!!!

That's what I pay between DirecTV basic and Charter Internet... :mad1:
If I ever get an updated flat screen TV (I have old school tube flatscreen) I'd dump DirecTV so fast it wouldn't be funny!  I'd go for this....it's FREE. LOTS of channels and good shows!
Stream it!  I watch it on my laptop, and I like it.

We have Infinity cable.  Same as Glen, I'm looking for a new provider also.  My wife is slowly turning over to Hulu.  Like it so far.  Our costs will go down.  Our upstairs TV is not a "smart" TV so my wife has to get some adapter around $50 to get Hulu there.  I also need to have some channels and Hulu so far has them.  Tired of paying so much for channels I never watch anyway.  good luck.

You do need good internet to cut the cord... especially if you want to watch two different programs at the same time.

Also, local live sports will make a difference which providers you need.

AND FSN the Twins channel is now not on Dish anymore.  Dish says it is FSN's fault but who really knows.  Another corporate we need more money on both sides of the aisle.

If enough people complain or quit their network so their ratings go down enough so they have to cut their price on advertising, they'll settle. Worst thing about it is if they do get more $ they'll just pass the increase on to the consumer. Plus just about all of the increase in revenue doesn't end up going to the workers out in the field actually doing the work but to the fat cats sitting in their big office somewhere.  :tut:  No wonder so many are cutting the cord & goin to streaming. Getting to be a lot more competition for those dollars too.

Exactly what Happened when AT&T took over DirecTV. They even stated they were raising rates to compete. (Didn't mention their money issues they had trouble with, though). AT&T is one of the worst companies out there, IMO. Dealt with them on differnt occasions years ago, and took forever to settle issues and get my money back.

One time years about 15 years ago AT&T over charged me a substantial amount and it was a mistake on there end. I called them up and the women like you have to pay it I said no. Then she realized what had happened and said they will refund it back to me. But when she told me the amount of the refund it was short like $15.00. I said that was wrong and she said, well that is the state sales tax and that I will need to get that back from the state. I said I don't think so. You messed it up you get it back from the state. That stayed on my bill for a couple of months and I refused to pay it. Ended up calling again and talked to a different person and they were like, oh no problem. Said it should have been fixed by the first person.
Hey look your bobber is up!

When I first moved to Baudette I had an older cell phone.  My buddy from by Madison MN called a lot the first month.  No big deal.  Well a few weeks later he calls and said he had a $400 phone bill cuz it was pinging off the Canada tower. I acted concerned but thought it was kind of funny.  Then a week later I got a $400 bill and then it wasn't as funny.  LOL  Well he called and they dropped his charges.  I called and they said they would cut mine by 50% so I thought well ok.  Then a couple of days passed and I thought about it and called back and the lady I talked to then said well no you shouldn't have to pay for any of it and forgave the bill.  Then I got a phone that I could adjust my home location.

Egads! You got one of them too? I go hide when she flips over to that junk which is frequently. Keeps me in practice for when I grill!  :rotflmao:
