True. The entire burner tubes should be clean as a whistle....any corrosion on them or crossovers is like all the dirt on top of a car battery...it can cause issues and high resistance.  Same with the electrical connector ends...which can cause delayed ignition and non-start issues.Was just discussing the burner tube and dirt thing with the Carrier tech that was at my house a month ago as he dusted mine off. OK, I've said my piece. I'm done.
