So our radishes were looking great.  Bigger every day.  Then 4 were chewed off.  The next day a couple more.  Wondered what it was.  Set up the trail cam and here it is a big mouse.  So I got out a trap and some peanut butter and I DK'd that radish robber.  Oh ya, I got him.  It's a great day.

Man our lettuce is 1/2" tall and the radishes are mayhaps 2" tall.   You must plant one heck of a lot of radishes to get that many Glenn.

Glenn....I also plant a lot of radishes. What varieties do you favor. I really like the round white ones.....Hailstone, White globe. They are the mildest. Also French breakfast.

But the best are the fall planted Daikon versions. I get them 10 inches long and 2 inches wide. Always the mildest. Look like large white carrots. :happy1: :happy1:

So you plant in like September?    Harvest in the fall or in the spring?

think there the cherry Belle. I'd have to look. I gave up on white radishes. Never had any luck with them. Pick from whatever fleet farm has.

Have to  plant earlier than that..... They take about 10 days to come up and more than twice as long to grow than regular radishes. At least 60-70 days to get to size. I usually plant them the last week of July/first week of August. Pull mid October

KenW, I plant the cherry Belle and the cherry giant. Those are what I get best results from after trying all different kinds.
