Tried the slimmers once.  But I did find a good way to fix them.  :happy1:

Eelpout are one of the best tasting fish out there.  Yes they are called poor mans lobster for a reason.  Take the back straps out and your in for a treat.  I broil them in lot's of butter.  If I am fishing where they are and get one or more I keep  them always.  Many times while I was on Mille Lacs on hard ice I seen dead frozen pouts a lot.  What a waste.  IF they didn't want them throw them back.  I'm glad they are around and hope to catch some more some times.  good luck.

Since Pout is slimmer then pike, their slimmer!  I like Pike.   :happy1:
