So I stopped at the liquor store on the way home to get a 12 pack.  I put the beer on the counter and after the lady scans the beer she said price and then said "SENIOR DISCOUNT" and the new price.  Should I be insulted, or thankful for the unsolicited savings?  I'm only 51.

Must be a part-timers moment on my part, but oh well....

Absotively! Take the money & run. A few years back I did a senior citizens discount meal at Perkins. I was 55. Felt like I got away with something.  :happy1:

You could be insulted or take the moola.  So it could go either way.  I think she was hitting on you.  How old was she?  21 and hot!

Take the money.  When I used to take my kids when they were young to Valley Fair there was a booth where they would give you a prize if they could not guess your age.  They never got it right, so I would not get too worried about the person who said you were a senior.  People are different and can't judge age or much else.  good luck.

So, how come they never offer a "senior" discount at the mortuary?

There is an on going joke..... The kids would be thinking  and looking at me funny, as we passed by a cemetery, and  I would say "they are just dying to get in there".....  :rotflmao:

At 56 I'm getting that too.  I take it.  What the heck.  Its pretty much arbitrary anyway.

If there were more millennial lawyers, one of them would probably have figure out how to sue for age discrimination.

Just like Ladies Nite at the bar...drinks half off until 10:00 PM.....that was really fair. Just 'cuz they wanted to pull all the guys in with the drunk wimmen, give us half off, too. A millennial dream case.
