Glenn, be very careful, there are a lot of fake websites to scam people looking for ammo or reloading supplies. Low prices and not accepting credit cards is a dead giveaway. I just went to that website, and they list the shells you are looking for but they are out of stock?

I have ordered both guns and ammo online with no issues, but Cooper is correct about the credit card thing.  As long as the site accepts credit cards, you can dispute the charges if things don't go as planned.

Hard to know.  I was shopping on-line for a somewhat rare pistol.  Long story-short, I found one - and the availability alone made me think the deal was too good to be true.  The more-than-fair price cemented my opinion.  I'm sure if I would have sent money to that website, it would have been flushed.

  • They had a phone number, but never picked up with a live operator - robo-answering machine only.
  • I found multiple on-line store fronts that seemed to be linked to the same inventory
  • And could only find a couple of feedback reviews that hinted at successful transactions.  Lack of feedback seemed shady to me.
  • I tried to find out where they were located and if they had a brick and mortar store.  They listed an address that had a building on the site (google maps), but couldn't tell if it was actually a gun business.

I'm still looking for a legit source for the pistol.

I did find your Gun Factory on the web.  They list an address that seems to be a residential house outside of Atlanta, GA.  The guy must be running a business from his basement.  And based on his BBB profile below (read the complaints), he is.

https://www.google.com/maps/place/1170+Settles+Pointe,+Suwanee,+GA+30024/@34.1047115,-84.1275819,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m5!3m4!1s0x88f59a20fdf8c7d7:0x5f3a26162a9f2bda!8m2!3d34.1047115!4d-84.1253932

It seems to be legit to me - when I looked at his in-stock inventory - is that mostly what he has access to is expensive, dangerous African game ammo.  No one is hoarding that stuff, so it makes sense that he might be able to resell that stuff.  So that part seems real to me.

Hell, they have a phone number.  Give 'em a call.

Here is their BBB info...  Not stellar ratings, but judge for yourself.

https://www.bbb.org/us/ga/johns-creek/profile/sporting-goods-retail/gunfactory-llc-0443-28130331

Good luck.

For the record.... I hate that gun stores do this...  reserve ammo for in-store gun purchases.

I understand the issues are complex, but...

Thinking back to the Great Toilet Paper Shortage of 2020, it smacks of not being able to buy a 24 pack of Charmin unless you also buy a new toilet.

Good luck, Glenn.

No different than buying a new vehicle and getting a tank of gas, or qts of oil with mowers. None of those will work without 'em, and neither will a gun without shells.

steve-o until things loosen up ammo wise, this will be the norm,I get it can't sell your gun's w/o ammo, heck ppl on the fence about calibur, gun make etc,can demo these weapon's at this store,so stores are hoarding themselves.

I had issues with a vortex rifle scope recently, vortex sent me a replacement scope under lifetime warrenty, when my new scope came in,my gunshop told me to bring my personel ammo along iffin I intended to zero my new scope in on they're indoor range.can't get a straight answer why such a long ammo shortage...but we have idea's why, lot's of threats our gun's will be next.

But geez. How long has this ammo shortage and hording been going on???  one would think everyone would have enough by now for a war???🥴

I've heard it that these ammo manufacturers are running around the clock. Also heard there doing the shortage thing on purpose. :doofus:

Yeah, I don't know.  It doesn't add up.

I gotta believe that somewhere along the ammo supply chain - if there was something sinister going on - there would be some 2nd amendment-loving, gun enthusiast who would find ways to blow the whistle on conspiracy operations.

Are the ammo makers only making military calibers?
Is the Army taking everything?

I haven't seen a box of 30-30 in over a year on a shelf.  Hell, I ain't seen a box of any rifle ammo on the shelf in over a year.  Check that, I did see several boxes of .300 Savage @ $50/box.

It seems to be the $1,000,000 question...  what are they making and where is it going?

Ordering online is safe and easy.  Just buy from reputable dealers.  Ones that you recognize their name or see if anyone else knows them like you have been doing.  How about Midway USA.  Ever check with them?  They are on TV all of the time and sure seem like a quality place.

I have bought ammo off of GunBroker.... but, it's like eBay. Sometimes you get a dick, cause you are dealing with folks (like any other)

This sight has a guarantee about your transaction... but like eBay you can get into a bidding war.

Get a reloader, Glenn! Then ya can have everyone save ya brass, and make yer own custom rounds with the amount of muzzle velocity ya want! Only prob, primers are now more scarce than the shells.  :doah:

Checked that place in GR too, but out of stock there as well. Even with their low low price of $49 a box, none to be had.

Yea, I almost got caught up in one of these websites. Had just what I was looking for and a reasonable price. After doing a little investigating, they were a scam. Tacticool was the name of the one I was looking at.
