A few years ago there were eggs in the nest but the darn birds never came back enough to keep them warm and they never hatched!  :undecided:

We have a couple bald eagles that are hanging around our Cottonwood trees. I really hope they don't nest here. Dang things are as bad as wrens!

Curious if the eagles will rebuild in the same spot, pick some place close, or move on altogether.

Can't speak for other eagles but when the nest went down on the point by the cabin they built a nest about 500 yards north in a big ugly pine on the lake!

 The pc I seen on it late yday said that they were worried about something like that happening. The nest was so heavy because it was almost the size of a 55 gallon drum & it was a very old tree. Is what the DNR person said.

Yea that nest looked as big as the one we could see from the dock. They keep adding to it.

And they usually pick the half deadist and ugliest tree.

The was a eagles nest on a power line on hwy 6 north of Crosby years ago. It blew down they rebuilt it then blew down again, the. They moved

well the winds blew the nest out of the tree, chick died...
Wow, that does suck.  Can you just imagine probably the little DNR birder gal or boy who job it was to monitor it going to the bathroom and going WTH, the camara moved!   :doah:
