SO I have a 10 year old HP 15" laptop that I use in my easy chair and for traveling. It started making a noise like something is spinning and needs a shot of WD-40.  The wife said don't you do that.  LOL  Well it has been pretty slow lately too.  I love it and don't want a new computer but I can see the writing on the wall.  SO is there a cord you can buy to just unload everything onto a new computer?

Sounds like the hard drive is on its last legs. Yup you can get a transfer cord to move stuff from one device to another. (If you're computer savvy) otherwise I'd have someone do it. Most computer sellers will do this service. Sounds like you should do it sooner than later, before it locks up....then your screwed.

Couple places here in the Falls do computers. I think they even sell refurbished. Throw in the car come over and buy a new one, show them what you want moved and they will handle it. Go to Sammys and have a pizza & Beer while you are waiting.

When my laptop crashed we got one at Costco and a local puter guy transferred everything and put some spyware on.
