I feel for the poor guy. Been this way all morning, and I don't have my buddy following me around.  :doah: had to coax him to come out and eat his food, hasn't gone out yet and when I made some toast he never left the bed. Even when my wife's dippy DIL came over he never came out.  Gave him an ibuprofen, hope it helps. And I have no clue as to what happened!! :surrender: :doah:

'zactly. I know when the fur babies around here have had issues beyond our capabilities or understanding, we're not afraid to seek professional help. Hope your big guy is OK without that.

That is great to hear Glenn.  Have you figured out how he hurt his ankle?

Hope he comes around Glenn! It's his ankle and not shoulder?

Hope it’s not the case, but I’ve had a couple dogs with Lymes, Erlichea, and Anaplasmosis. This in spite of being vaccinated for Lymes. Anyway, I kept a bottle of doxycycline on hand and started giving it to them as soon as they showed signs of pain in the joints, usually limping. The doxycycline works quickly, and it’s pretty cheap, but you will have to get it from a vet. Good luck, Glenn.

yea ankle and foot the way it seems.

but he's about back to normal. went outside with me. no noticeable limp and walking on that paw. not to mention the drool on my pants leg while i was eating and running off the dish when i set it down for him to lick off!!!!!!!  :happy1: :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

i watch him pretty close at the cabin for ticks.....never had one i could see. and i do use frontline kinda stuff all the time. he'll get it again before i head back up!!!!!!!
