It was a employee of the Red Door, he made it out fine. They got the truck pulled out within 2 hours by a towing company.

Red Door has an Aitkin address I believe. I could also believe there are likely places the ice isn't safe yet. Have seen people driving pickups on nearby St. Olaf Lake. Some permanent houses are being installed there. Wondered about how safe the ice might be with the snow we've been getting. Close to 30" total between Nov. & Dec. When I was moving snow today I got into the lot by the main barn. The ground was not frozen under the snow there in spots.

My brother and I stayed there with our kids about 8 years ago. I had the impression they were very cautious about ice conditions at least for their guests. Scary deal.

They started parking wheelhouses out front of the lodge at Geiger's on Bowstring on Friday. That's not far, 3-4 miles, from us.
