The Tiny Pix function will be off line for a little while for maintenance.

So..............

As some of you have noticed, the Tiny Pix function does not work anymore.
Les, had this on his own private server and it was not transferred to Steve when Les passed away.
It ran for a little while till the licensing expired. Steve has tried to get a hold of the family to see what they would do.
He has not heard from them as of yet.

So, what that means is....in order for you to post pictures, you must resize them, and get them down around the 850 kb size. (or there abouts)
If the file is too big, it may time out and not post.....and if too many large picture files are posted, it will slow the speed of the site down.

I am checking into the Simple Machines website for a modification (the platform theme our site runs on)
Along with that, I'm also checking Google play for a picture reducing app as well.

An easy way (in case your interested) to reduce file size by itself, is to add the picture in a text message and send it to someone. Once the message has been sent, go back and click on the picture in the text message and save it as a download....your phone has automatically reduced the picture and makes it safe to post.

Anyways, I figured I give you a heads up.....I'm looking for a fix

Okay. So I need to ask the dumb question. Once I get the size reduced, how do I get it posted on here?

SO.....if, and thats a big if, i understand it right. once you text or send it via email like boober said, the picture is now downsized by your phone.

here's the iffy part...... i believe once you have done that it should be in your photo galary at that point you should be able to post it here.

for some reason all the pictures i post from the book of faces i dont need to go to tinypics to post here.......on IDO though thats all effed up.

Once you pick them off of FB, they are already small enough to post.

You have to click on "attachments and other options", then click on "choose file", and that will open where you store your photos...pick the one you want, then post it.

For me, personally, I think it might be easier if I got a big box of crayons, drew a picture and sent it to HD to post for me.

Scroll  down a smidge resize to medium then save. It's always in your files then.

Emailing a photo doesn't usually reduce its size by default, but texting a photo does. I often take high resolution photos and when I post them here they end up sideways. An easy fix for that I've found is to take a screenshot of the photo and then post the screenshot instead. Screenshots are smaller in size (less resolution) so it posts with the correct orientation.
