I keep my eyes open for a body of water to buy on in central MN.  So does anyone know anything about Artichoke Lake?   I have seen old threads about catching walleyes but lots of sheepies too. Looks like a lot of Ag runoff possibly.

Artichoke Lake is shallow, medium-sized lake located 15 miles east of Ortonville, Minnesota. Its watershed is primarily composed of agricultural and wetland

this is what I found.....

Artichoke Lake
Lake in Minnesota

Artichoke Lake is a lake in Big Stone and Swift counties, Minnesota, in the United States. Artichoke Lake is likely a translation of the Native American name, referring to the Jerusalem artichokes harvested there for food.

I wonder how bad the ag runoff is there?  Lot's of points that look fun to fish.

 According to Mn DNR's Lakefinder there's 2 Artichoke Lakes, 1 in Big Stone County near Correll, & another in St Louis County near Alborn. https://www.dnr.state.mn.us/lakefind/search.html?name=artichoke&county=

I don't see the water clarity? AG runoff would be a concern,  looking at Google maps she looks pretty green, algae being another.  Looks mostly shallow water makes ya wonder on weed growth mid summer.
