Looks like too many large picture files have been uploaded.

They should be reduced before posting, otherwise the server gets overloaded.

I'm not sure what is going on...I dumped a ton of data, and it still won't let me post a really small thumbnail picture

Looks like you're getting this error:

"Your attachment couldn't be saved. This might happen because it took too long to upload or the file is bigger than the server will allow."

I had to put a cap on the size of the file that could be attached because of the last overload on the server.

The cap is set at 3000kb for the size, anything over that limit will not upload. It must be resized to make the limit.

Sorry for the inconvenience, but I had to........

To put this into perspective, we are allowed 20Gb of space on the server.
Just the site to operate, takes up 8Gb of that space.

Cell phone picture files are (on average with the newer phones) 4Gb per photo, so, basically 4 cell phone pictures = 12Gb....and the server locks us out. Then I manually have to go back, and find the oversized picture files. Then either resize them myself, or delete it so others can post pictures.

To get more space, I would need to pay more per year for a dedicated server, purchase my own server or get a VPN (none of which I can afford)

That's it in a nut shell.......

So does that mean we shouldn't post pics HD?  There is the x-large, large, medium, small or something like that when we post a pic.  Is that relevant?  I always hit Large.

Don't blame me. I don't know how to do that picture upload thing.
I used to be cute and adorable. Then, I had my first birthday. Been downhill ever since.

No LPS, you can post pictures.

Actually 3000kb is a rather large resized photo, so it shouldn't be a problem. Most resized photos are around 500kb - 900kb and don't compromise quality of the file.

So you could potentially post 6 resized photos in one post and not have an error code.

I'm just trying to find the best compromise that doesn't effect the members to much.
