E-gad!!!  But the real questions is...  what type of vodka do they use to make it?   :rotflmao:  :tequila;

That looks great!  Would need a doggie box for leftovers.  I got some Clamato yesterday.

I'm not a huge flavored vodka guy, in fact, pretty much not at all, but I had a bloody in WI the other day with Chippewa Distillers Jalapeno/Habenero vodka that was pretty good.  Chippewa has other flavors that might kick a bloody up a notch too, like dill and horseradish.

They have all sorts of other crazy flavors too.  https://www.chippewariverdistillery.com/trumies

when i have a refreshment containing Vodka, i'm not a fancy foo foo flavor kinda a guy. i like the Sdevka brand!!! my brother buys it by the case at Sams club. he's a white Russian drinker. that Members Mark Vodka is pretty damn good!!!!! he looks for vodka distilled at least 5 times.

i've pretty much switched to the members mark vodka, for 13 bucks a bottle cant go wrong! and you dont need to be a member to hit there liquor store!! :sleazy:

Rockfilter Distillery down in Spring Grove, MN makes their own certified "Farm Distillery" bourbon and whiskey with organic grains grown right in the area.

In the tasting room they concoct creative cocktails.  One of them was a Bourbon Bloody Mary that was really good. They had a good bloody mix, smoked the cocktail and it was fantastic.

I didn't like all of the spirits they make.  They get pretty exotic by using different grains (corn, rye, sorghum, oats, triticale, wheat, etc.) and wood smoke during the process.  It was fun to order a whiskey flight and decide which I liked and which not so much.  There is something for everyone who likes whiskey.  Their products are top quality, but not too cheap.

I hope that their house classic bloody marry is not made with Zing Zang. Putting a bunch of great stuff on top of a crappy mix doesn’t make it a good bloody and way too many bars are using Zig Zang. :puke:  I found different types of vodka doesn’t make a huge difference in the taste of the bloody marry. I do use Tittos at home.

Anybody ever try the "Stumps" brand of bloody mix?

I bought some at Menards when I was there.... just haven't tried it yet.

Ya better get on it and let us know, HD.   ;)

I tasted some of this in one of those craft cocktails I was talking about.  I'm goona have to get some this holiday season.  They also have Original, Chilies and Peppers, and Chipotle Habanero.  Definitely "kick it up a notch" kinda stuff.  It'll elevate anyone's mix, or even tomato juice.  I plan on using it with Clamato.   :toast:

Update:  I just ordered the variety pack.  I'll get back to you to let y'all know how it goes.

I do Clamato and add a drop of Worcester, Tabasco, tsp of olive or pickle juice, good shake of Cavenders, and the olives and a pickle wedge.

That's pretty much what we do, but we're not so exotic with Cavenders...  we typically use Lowery's Celery Salt.

Cavenders is a nice Greek-ish seasoning blend. Glad you mentioned it Barry as when we're done with tinctures & breakfast in Canada, we switch gears to Bloody Mary's. 3 of them usually puts Bill down for his nap. When he wakes up, then it's time for HH! :happy1: Frequently there is no celery salt there but there's usually Cavenders if you dig thru the spice area long enough. I use it primarily on lamb I've brought along & have been known to bring my own in case they've run out. It's good on other stuff too. Never thought of using Cavenders in a BM but I gotta believe it'd be pretty good.

Usually my Bloody Mary's contain regular V8, Stoli or Smirnoff, ~ 1 TSP salsa or picante, 1 tsp horseradish, a splash of pickle juice, a couple good shakes of Lowry's seasoned salt, a Claussen's dill pickle spear & a celery stalk if there's some in the fridge. The BM's tend to be a little like Pfeiffer's beer. No two taste the same!  :doah:

Cavenders and Lawrys are right next to the stove so I use one or the other on everything pretty much.  Cavenders is my go to on eggs since it has the pepper already in it.   :happy1:  I am on my second jar of Nathans dill spears.  Right next to the Clausens in the cooler section.  I like Nathans better now.

May just be my ineptness but it is hard to find the recipes.  A bigger header for "Recipes" would help me.  LOL

Nothing like a good Bloody Mary. I don’t do it very often because a couple of them and it’s time to hit the sack. Might have something to do with the size of the Bloody Mary glasses we us—20 ounces.
I like to stick with olives and maybe a decent snappy pickle.
All this talk is giving me a craving. Might try it with some Penzey’s Northwoods or Northwoods fire seasoning.

That's close to what I do. I add a good amount of horse radish too.

My favorite seasoning is I take about a 2/3 full bottle of Lowry's add an inch of black pepper, then about a 1/2" of cayenne pepper and mix. Great in bloody Marys and on beef. I like a peppery steak.

My experience with Stumps products, they are on the "spicy" side (which I like)

They do make a hot Mary Mix, but I opted for the mild just to try it.

I like it, it's got good heat, but not overpowering  :happy1:

Its a hit.  I got my Demitris Bloody Mary seasoning mix and they're all good in their own way, but my pallet isn't really all that refined to pick a favorite.

The Extra Horseradish seemed had more horseradish than the Classic recipe.  Duh.  They were both great.
And the Chipotle and Habanero was a little spicier than the Chilies and Peppers.  Double duh.  They both added rich pepper flavor - defiantly more than just pepper vodka.

Lots of folks use Clamato in Bloodies because it adds a twang.  It didn't disappoint with these add-ins.  I rounded out the recipe with a splash of pickle juice and a dash of celery salt.

Finally, if you try a Bloody with bourbon instead of vodka, you might not go back to vodka ever again - unless you run out of bourbon.   ;)

In the end, I just mixed all my samples in glass and drank it down with no complaints.
