Since I hail from north of the border where I had no panfish available besides perch....I love eating sunnies and crappie. They are sweet and tasty and easy to catch, other then that I love salmon and trout aswell.
Going South......in a manner of speaking!

Walleye, You can barbecue it, boil it, broil it, bake it, saute it. Dey's uh, Walleye-kabobs, Walleye creole, Walleye gumbo. Pan fried, deep fried, stir-fried. There's pineapple Walleye, lemon Walleye, coconut Walleye, pepper Walleye, Walleye soup, Walleye stew, Walleye salad, Walleye and potatoes, Walleye burger, Walleye sandwich. That- that's about it.

Is there any other fish?

I was about 8 years old and went out by myself hunting chipmunks with a 22 loaded
with birdshot. Had a lot of fun!

Must have been 5 or 6 with my father and neighbor Zio Mario. We were about 3 hrs NW of Thunder Bay, up the Graham Rd hunting moose. I vaguely remember it being very cold and we were sleeping in the back of the station wagon together. We did not get a moose but were able to harvest some rabbits and grouse. Other then that, I remember going for rabbits and grouse all the time with dad and neighbors. It was a neighborhood affair back home to go rabbit hunting and it often meant 2 to 3 cars full of people and I specifically remember looking in the back of the trunk of an old Cutlass and seeing it full of white tasty rabbits! Good memories... :happy1:

First hunt I dont rememeber how old I was but I was prolly trying to find the candy jar full werther hard candies at my grandparents. I think my sister was prolly with me.    Also I faintly remember going goose hunting with my father and some other family down in bancroft Iowa. I was always out hunting with my dad at a very young age so I really cant remember what came first. But the Time that sticks out the most in my mind is the first time I went grouse hunting near Pine River MN at the age of 8. I was with my dad, his friend, and his son that i became good friends with. I remember paying too much attention to my game boy and my dad telling me "ok get your stuff ready" and not even a minute later there was a covey of birds sitting on the road sunning themselves and picking gravel. That weekend is inbeaded into my head and is what got me so passionate about those dumb feathery creatures. :fudd:

What sportsman groups are you involved with, or would like to be involved with?

How involved are you with your sportsman group, and why is supporting them important to you?

I dont think I am an actual member of any sportsmans groups - but at some point I may be a member of MDHA and Pheasants Forever.  Just cause I mostly hunt pheasants and deer  :happy1:
Id like to get involved in Boone & Crockett, be a measurer or something, but I have no time no-a-days.
-- I just enjoy the outdoors, I feel as though I pay my dues with my taxes to the DNR, they do a majority of the broad range stuff.  MDHA and Pheasants Forever dont really affect the hunting on my property.
