Well... it was cold.  21 degrees when we left Remer in the morning, zero by the time we got to the lake and started setting up at about 10 am.  And it was windy as hell.  We started fishing in about 15 feet of water and the sunnies were there.  Some real nice 9 inchers.  They shut off at about noon, we scratched out a few more before we had enough at about 2pm.  it was -8 when we left the lake. we ended up keeping about 30 of these guys.

If a gun kills people then I can blame a pen for my misspells?

I have 4 kids who love to eat it.  I am not ashamed to keep fish for a few meals.  I had my standards, we let the under 9's go.

John, you mean to tell me you kept 30 over 9 inches? I don't keep anything over 9", as we need those larger ones to keep the fishery what it is. 30 is a lot of 'gills over 9", and I'm not sure I can remember getting that many 9" plus fish in a day...

Not trying to bash you keeping 'em, as I don't blame anyone for keeping some fish for a meal, but Rab is in my backyard...

what can I say, it was a good day.  We weeded them out... they were 8 to a few at 9... let the females go.  there were three of us, we could have kept more but didn't.
I don't get out much to fish with the kids sports stuff going on, so when I can I like to keep some for a few meals. Like I said, my family eats fish.

You don't have to worry about me Matt... I am not one of those guys who decimates a lake. :fishing:

All's good John, you just made me a bit nervous when I thought you meant 30 over 9"! Again, nice pics, getting kids on fish is priceless!
