Jerry im holding tru to this. I posted prior to season. But ya never know what will happen in this contest. Their are prizes to be awarded for different things. Ya never know what will happen. Ill be working with the judges on all bucks posted and not posted. Just put up your story!

Edit:  should probably post my story but it’s pretty uneventful. 

For a hot minute, I thought the deer herd was coming back in our area. Saw 6 deer (does and button) from sunrise to noon. Nothing in the afternoon. Sunday morning, about 10 minutes after sunrise, he magically appeared in front of me. Because of the lack of light still, it took a moment or two to see if it was a buck. At this same time, I had about a dozen grouse out front. As the buck took to some cover, allowing me to raise the gun and get into position, my movement caused all 12 grouse to violently fly away one by one cause quit the commotion. The buck startled and I thought it was over. Luckily, he slow trotted away but to a clearing where I made a double lung shot, preserving the heart for my pup Lulu (she devours them). I’ll add I took a second shot as I saw it through some brush a few moments later…I think it was doing the crappie flop at this point but I wasn’t 100% sure. Lol.

I got pretty lucky considering only one other person in our group of 12 even saw a deer ( that person wounded a legal spike)…and that was through Wednesday.

The spike was a “first deer” for a friend’s daughter. The ten point was shot by my nephew’s soon to be wife. Not a good picture but this is what we have for 15 hunters over eight days.
