 So, do they go all out & try to end GB's season, or do they worry more about who'll be healthy for the playoffs? Personally, I'd love to see 'em knock GB out of the playoff hunt....................... but not if it costs us in the playoffs.  :tut:

I agree, would be a nice confidence builder to beat them and get a few sacks on Kerin.

would like to see Jefferson be the first to go over 2,000 yds receiving. But getting healthy is important.

 I see that Cleveland & Bradbury are both listed as questionable now. Dantzler is not on the IL this morning & is listed as a starting CB now.

 Read somewhere yday that Cleveland took part in a limited practice on Wednesday, so he might be able to play. ESPN's IL says he's still questionable though.

Irv Smith & Ty Chandler were activated on Wednesday also. K O'C makes it sound like Smith may play on Sunday. https://heavy.com/sports/minnesota-vikings/irv-smith-ty-chandler-return-packers/

We now get the NYG in Rd 1 of the playoffs & if the OL doesn't get healthy quick it'll be 1 & done IMO. Bradbury's backup, Schlottman, broke his leg yday.

 The depth chart shows only 6 guys healthy for 5 spots on the O line.  That's with a #3 at Center & a # 2 at RT. :doah:

I read that Reed our now Center has never played that position before.  Hopefully he gets better every snap.

They are extremely fortunate to be in the playoffs. Much better season than most could have imagined.

...Also considering they STILL have one of the WORST defenses in the league.

We'll just have to wait and see how hurt the other play-off teams are.

That's why they had 3-4 false start penalties as soon as he came in the game Sunday. The color guy said that the Vikes have 33 different cadences to get the ball snapped & there's no way Reed could know all of 'em without having much practice time at that position. He said that they should simplify things & go on the quick count or it was going to be 1st down & 15 yards to go the rest of the day. :bonk:

I wouldn't be surprised to see 'em sign 1 or 2 off the practice squad for some OL depth this week. Maybe a FA or 2, if they can find any they like, as well.

That was my first thought. Not sure who might be available as a FA, but maybe they know of a of a player who has played under the system and could be a step up.

As suspected, Brian O'Neill and 2nd string center, Auston Schlottmann are done.  :banghead:

Vikings Place Brian O'Neill & Austin Schlottmann on IR; Sign Greg Mancz to Active Roster & Bobby Evans to Practice Squad

EAGAN, Minn. – The Vikings have made multiple roster moves pertaining to the offensive line.

Minnesota signed newly available free agent Greg Mancz, the team announced Tuesday. The 30-year-old most recently was on the Browns 53-man roster but was released on Dec. 23.

The Vikings also added tackle Bobby Evans, who recently was released by the Rams, to the practice squad.

The signings occurred in conjunction with placing Vikings right tackle Brian O'Neill and center Austin Schlottmann on Injured Reserve after both suffered what Vikings Head Coach Kevin O'Connell described as "significant" leg injuries against the Packers Sunday.

 If they can't protect Cousins better than they have for the last month or so, nothing else matters IMO. :bonk: The stats show he's been the hit & sacked more than any other QB in the league for the last month or so. He goes down, Nick Mullens takes 'em nowhere. :doah:

 Heard something about that yday but I don't think they'd put him on the IL yet then.

This has probably been talked about already but just read.  If we lose to Chicago we would play the Giants in the first playoff game.  If we win we will play GB or Detroit.  JJ may be able to get his yards if we truly do go for the win.  LOL

If we lose we play the Giants. Locked in three vs six seed.

Only way we play Lions or Packers or Seahawks is if the 49'ers lose to Arizona and we beat the Bears. We would be 2 and Niners would be 3.Niners would have to totally blow it if they lose to Arizona.

Lions will know before the game starts if they have a chance or not.....If Seahawks win in the afternoon, Lions are out. If Packers win they are in and Seattle is out.

Big question here is.....will the Vikes play starters or let them rest. Probably play 1 series and pull them out.

Looks like Mancz will start at center, he's # 2 on the depth chart, so Reed will back him up.
