We hit West Rush for the evening bite, it was still windy, but the access is on the East side and calm.

We did mostly casting with white and yellow spinner baits, down the shore lines and around the grass islands. We caught quite a few pike that were in the slot that had to be released. 24"-36"
We did catch 2 that were at the 23 and 24 inch mark, but still were released.

We each caught a bass while casting for pike, his bass was 4 1/2 pounds and mine was a meak
2 1/4.

Later, towards evening we decided to try for some sunfish and caught a 12 decent ones along the weeds of the rock flat and a bunch of littler ones thrown in. 10 to 15 feet of water.
Using small leeches under a slip bobber.
The Crappie fisherpeople were out fishing the edge of the 40' hole next to crane island and doing well from what we could see, 4 boats along the break and you could see them pulling them in.
They were sitting in 20 feet of water. (I checked as we passed)
They were using slip bobbers and each had a minnow bucket hanging over the side.
No Wallies this time around....

Hope everything is good in your neck of the woods!
