Here is a thread for little things that make you smile.

Today I put ten bucks in the old Dodges gas tank and got six gallons of gas... a month ago I would have not gotten two and half. I smile because I was thinking ten bucks will now fill my boat tank for the Puddle Humper!  :happy1:

Everyday I pick my son up at daycare after work. As soon as I step into the daycare lady's door, thier two pomeranian yippers announce that I am there. My eight month old son's initial reaction is defined by his ear to ear smile as he knows that dad is there. As soon as he sees me he starts flapping his arms like a gorilla, smiling, and says babababababa.

That makes me smile
Marry an outdoors woman. Then if you throw her out into the yard on a cold night, she can still survive.

I have four kids and anytime we are driving and see a deer, I tell my girls (four and six) to "take em" and they hold up their little hands like a pistol and start making shooting sounds.

My wife just looks at me and rolls her eyes while I smile.

Watching that would make me smile!  Take a video camera and capture that for showing later in life like say graduation or wedding.  You will always smile when you see it weather your son does or not!  My oldest son used to stand in place and move his feet up and down excitedly when he saw me.  Take care and N Joy the Hunt././Jimbo

When I come home and my 10 mo son stops what he's doing, looks at me, lips go ear to ear and says " DADADADADADADA". Never fails to make me smile!

Reading all these stories of how kids make their dads smile it reminds of a time last summer when I was with my son. He was taking me home and he had his three kids in the back seat acting like kids.  I got out of the truck with a big smile and looked at him. He looked back and asked whats with the smile? I said "My grand kids but your kids"  closed the door and walked away...chuckling to myself.  I remember those days of three kids, all in diapers at the same time...  :rotflmao:

These all caused me huge smiles with tears this year!

Watching my son and daughter-in-law Jillian at the alter on their wedding day (AKA Duck season opener :whistling:)

Watching my mom hug Jillian at the wedding and welcoming her to our family.

Walking across the green grass at the cemetery on Memorial day seeing the extra flag on dads grave that the cub scouts had put there to honor our Vets.  (extra as in as long as I am around there will be a flag on my dads grave)

That same walk seeing the flag that the St Peter Fire Dept had put up for those at the big firehouse in the sky.

Funny how smiles and tears can go together so well some times.  Take care and N Joy the Hunt././Jimbo
