Congrats on the doe, Cody.  There was no early doe season where I hunt but I blew a bunch of bow chances over the weekend.

I promise to stay out of the woods until next Saturday.  I will let my partners get some registered deer.  However, they are always welcome to bump mine with their 20 pointers.

fubar this is my teams challenge . now that deadeye has filled his buck tag on a dandy i dont have to worry about him and his 13 pointer from last year.....im looking for a deer with some serious headgear

Cody,  Deadeye party hunts.  He could still fill there tags for them.  Be afraid, very afraid.  By this time next week Deadeye,  FutureDC9 , and myself will have wrapped this contest up.  You have no chance.

This was a tough weekend for me.  For the last 3 years I have shot 4 deer so I expected to get one or two more this weekend, but no luck.  The only deer I saw yesterday was a white deer that my mom told me I could not shoot.  My group did manage 4 deer for the weekend despite the poor weather.  There were also wild turkey and cougar sightings which is very unusual for northern Minnesota.
