I have been working on a few diamond willow walking sticks for the girls(boys didn't care YET)
I'm almost done. Only need to do the fine sanding and put a clear coat of poly on. Is the clear poly the right thing to seal the wood?  I also found a larger piece that I want to make into a lamp.

I put on the clear gloss polly....a few coats to make it durable.

HD very cool.  Is there anything to keep the wood from turning yellow?  The girls like the bright white.

I don't think there is a way to keep it white. Cause, the polly will darken it a little and as it ages it will turn yellowish (if that's a word) 

I can ask my buddy that works at a cabinet shop....
But, he told me before, all wood changes color as it ages.

I just got done talking to him...

He said that there is no way to keep it from yellowing that he knows of.
