Phil & Ellen Hart, US Hwy 53 & Co Rd 122, 30 miles south of Int'l Falls-Canadian border (218-875-2121) Attention winter anglers, finally the slush has solidified on most of Kabetogama and Namakan, making most of the lake accessible for sleds and wheelers to get out to your fishing spots. Not many reports coming in as snowmobiling grabs the headlines on Presidents Weekend. Anglers are looking for success at the typical 28-35’ depth range, pink or red glow jigs tipped with a minnow is a good bait choice.Kinda look the coming week. Remember die hards, you still have Namakan and crappies to look forward to.Land snowmobile trails in great shape with the recent bit of snow added over the weekend. Lake trail riding should be decent if we now get a little snow cover.
