problem im having is there arent any crops out yet, so im not seeing many geese at all. so the ones i am seeing are heading into town and want nothing to do with my decoys. with the exception of a few singles, its been pretty lame. hoping this cold weather forces to feed on whatever they can find. ill be out in the morning

As usual the youth hunt pushed alot of birds around last weekend, even tho the weather was suited for fishing the pup and I made it out sunday, the few huntin buds I have all had excuses why they could'nt go,as I passed white bear lake before sunrise I could see some die hard fishermen working the north end rock pile in the full moon light.

Well I pulled into the field with the windows down and the cab filled with skeeters in seconds,68 degrees,no wind and a full moon= tough hunt.

As luck would have it after placing a couple dozen dekes out, securing my blind, loading my shotgun and my dog relieving himself on the dekes here comes a group, after a few clucks and groans they dumped right in,did'nt even care my truck was right there either.

Sarges 1st geese~
