Hunting is not life and death. It is more important than that.

its up to you really. me i wouldnt cull him until the end of the season. ya you dont want him breeding but it could be a number of reasons why they grew like that, a injury, bad genetics, hurt it during velvet etc.

By the photo of the first post, it looks like he had broke off his brow during velvet.
I would leave him alone, unless you see him on the hoof with some physical damage.

(limping, small in stature...etc)

Just my 2 pennies........

I could see my breath this morning from my stand! I am from new ulm! Just couldn't waste the nice cool morning so I grabbed the camera and headed to the stand not much happening but I did have a doe and here two fawns at 10-20 yards for about half hour or so! Fyi the fawns seem small this year sat least in our area they still have spots on them.

Had some frost on the ground this morning. As I was sitting in the goose blind, I saw a spike and a doe working the back side of the hay field. Then later 2 fawns with spots came up and checked me out. It was great to be out this morning!

Dont shoot a deer on the last day if you wouldnt shoot it on the first day. As far as culling it aint worth your time shoot to what ya want when ya want you wont know the deers full potential in the first 2.5 years of its life Just remember you cant kill a big buck if you shoot the good ones

What makes a BoneCollector?
They are the hunters that have the passion to go to the ends of the earth, in pursuit of the basic hunter instincy that was instilled in us at birth and is so often taken away in society.

im with bonecollector. this deer probly wont breed for a few years ( he might get lucky once or twice) but i dont think you can say how a deer will mature. this may grow to be a huge non-typical or just become a bigger spike. keep an eye on him if next year hes the same then take him out. but i would give him a few years otherwise.
my wife said it.... im OFFICIALLY ADDICTED to MNO!!

1st pic.. let him grow. Do not "cull" him. Way to young of a deer to know what his potential may be. Give him a couple years.

2nd deer.... 2 1/2yo
