I will be going as much as I can (getting to my favorite time of the year)
So much to do, with fall fishing & hunting, it's hard to choose.
But, bow hunting is on top of the list!

Yea the temps are definetly a downer but i see alot of deer moving between 7:00 pm and 8:00 pm so im keeping my hopes up of getting lucky early season.  Just found my self some private ground to hunt last week and got a stand and camera's up this week end.  Got high hopes it sit right between 2 WMA areas that a see alot of traffic between.  I just moved 3 weeks ago so i went back this weekend and took down my stands and cameras from my old hunting spot.

Of coarse i got this guy on the camera

I am in the same boat - I have a long weekend scheduled over the opener, but with the weather the way it is, I have some more long weekends in October, so I think I wont get out until October.  Been very busy with work, so its been tough to do as much scouting as I have wanted to.  I know there are some nice ones out there for me, just have to wait them out.

 :archery: GOOD LUCK HUNTERS!

During the past few weeks I've spent three days clearing and mowing our trails in prepration for this years hunt.  We have one more good day clearing (trees do fall in the woods when no one is there) and mowing trails and then we can start checking, fixing, and putting up new stands.  Best guess is we have between 6 and 7 miles of mowed trails which take a lot of maintenance but are well worth the effort when hunting starts.

Depending on what the Dr says tommorrow afternoon I might be able to help with the mowing.  Can't lift much with my right arm or do any hunting but i  am willing to help to try and keep my butt busy and not eat my way to 300 pounds.

Just traded my worthless wedding rings off for 2 bow ad this year is my first year archery hunting in 7 years.  So far there is a high possibility of sticking something.  I think my buddy wounded the Ony buck on the property with a horse crap shot on Friday... And we never found it after 7 hours of trailing the blood.... :banghead:  it was a only a 1 tiner...  Back out tonight for hopefully a large doe.
