so wendsday i left school a little early (1:10) and drove to my house picked up my gun and a mouth call and drove out to Isanti i get to where im hunting and set my gun down so i can put out 2 hen decoys and hear a 2 gobbles so i quietly put out the decoys one on my right and one on my left. i sit down and let out my first call of the day and he gobbles before i finish and a few seconds later he gobbled again so i waited 3 or 4 min and called again and another double gobble so i figured he was a jake. 3 or 4 min later when i was about to call he gobbled on him own and he was defenetly closer about 1 min later i let out another call and a few seconds later i saw his head breaking over the edge of the field. he stoped and looked for the decoy and when he steped over the brim i saw his beard and my heart started to pound. when he entered the field a realize his beard is barley of the ground and he is headed right towards my decoy and when he gets about 25 yards away i start to move my gun and he sees me. so i pop up my gun and shoot at him as he starts to run. unfortunetly i lead him to much and belive i completly missed him. i did not see any feathers and both of my wadds were pretty much the same distance away from where i shot. last i saw him he was flyin

i figured he had a eight inch beard and the same turkey i saw on sunday. if i have time im going to have a friend buy a license and ill take him out there

I got a call from a neighboring landowner who said all the turkeys were on my land about 1/3 mile from his.  He wanted to know if he could set up a ground blind on my land.  I told him to go ahead and give it a go.  I don't plan on hunting for another week or so.
