Real, fake, cut your own, tree farm or grow your own?

We have a fake one the wife puts up every year.

4 or 5 years ago I found a really nice tree on our property up north.  Took my oldest up the friday after thanksgiving and had a great time. When we put the 12 footer up in the livingroom the wife said it looked like a charlie brown tree on steroids.  It wasn't the thickest tree but it smelled and looked great after decorating.  In a few more years there will be a few more nice ones ready to be cut down.
Anything that is free is worth saving up for.

We put up a fake tree every year, but get a real wreath to get the pine smell. (A lot less to clean up)

Fake (artificial) here.  Had the real ones all while the kids were young.  Now they have the real ones and we don't.  I went on Thanksgiving with my daughter and her kids to get a real one.  It was fun.

I am allergic to putting up and decorating our artificial Christmas tree. I'm even more allergic to taking it down and putting away all the decorations. When Borgie even mentions "should we put up the tree this year for a change?" I break out into a rash!

Now we've adopted 2 small cats and they get into everything they can. So, the other day I told Borgie maybe we should put up the tree this year. She said "the cats would destroy it!". I said to bad your right dear, I never thought of that.

Actually I disposed of the tree and decorations 2 yrs. ago. What Borgie don't know can't hurt her. :happy1:

No tree here. We usually run around to several other places during the Christmas time to celebrate with other people so what's the sense in putting up a tree.
