I have shot MANY different types of shells my life, and I would have to say these are very impressive. I picked up 6boxes at  Fleet Farm for 18 bucks a box. Smooth shooting, and high impact, they knock um down!

Yeah,  Jr can't cycle them through is 870 either. They are a little longer than most 3 invh mags, but the cycle fine out of my  1100

That's the exact problem j have. They hang up. I like the load but sometimes I need that second an 3rd shot. I shoot hevi metal and black cloud mostly

870 have always been known for that.  They need to be cycled like you have a pair.

I'll bring the gun and shells down next weekend just to see if your theory holds true after you shoot it.  ;D

It will cycle perfect every time if I'm the guy pulling the trigger.

We'll,if your using the hi-end shotshells, consider this,"steel pellets is just that" no hocus pockus no matter the name brand, fact is steel shot loses its down range energy by 50% after 40yds,so what does a guy do? well he up sizes his pellet size, more weight in the larger steel pellets right?,however now you have reduced pellet count and unless the shooter breaks a wing or gets a head shot the birds keep flying, crippled most likely beyond 45yds~

Or for about the same money you could go with hevi metal by hevi shot with their $50/flat rebate or single box rebate.

Hevi metal gives you a 50/50 blend of steel pellets and hevi shot tungsten pellets, the tungsten pellets are smaller in diameter and allows for 20% more pellets in each shell+more knock down power

Take a looksey at this ballistic chart

Note the difference in down range energy, there is only one load that betters lead here...And I for one miss the old days when we could shoot lead@ waterfowl.

I have shot those shells with no better results than what I'm using. The only difference is that those cost more. I even patterned them side by side. Yes, you have more pellets per square inch. But, I don't need my birds full of shrapnel. And for 18 bucks a box, I couldn't go wrong.

Shooting number 4 shot equals lots pellets to chomp into.  Even at pheasants I shoot steel BB's.  I like them to go right through so I don't have to pick them out.  When I'm shooting geese its with a pattern master choke tube and 3 1/2 inch BB's.  I don't think twice at shots at 70 yards.  They drop dead.  I remember buying a case for $120.

HD,hevi metal is $17/box after rebate.

General,70yds,really? steel shot, really? com'on man... pattern master is nothing more than a 1/c choke with .015 constriction and is a wad striper,no majic here other than hype.Looking at the ballistic chart @ 70yds your doing pretty darn good, like I said larger pellets=broken wing or a head shot.Over dekes 3" ammo does the job for many of us.

My point on ammo is just a thought for guyz buying the hi-end bullets, lord know's I hate steel so much I shot all of the designer loads back in the late 80's to mid 90's from tungsten to bismuth, nothing stood out like Hevi shot, but who can afford it these days? Hevi metal is a happy medium for 1/2 the cost and puts more kill shots in your favor.

Another thought for weeding out the shrapnel as stated, took me 4 root canals/crowns from steel shot to figure out that a hand held metal detector from menards is worth every penny for $30.(also works as a stud finder)

I didn't see a rebate when I was shopping for shells,  so the choice was obvious. Don't get me wrong, but I would rather have 10 bb's go through the bird than have 50 little pellets that I have to dig out.  Maybe other folks don't mind, and need the extra shot, but that's not my cup of tea. And, in accuality, the Remingtons held a tighter group than the heavy metal. So, I  guess we can go round and round on this thing....all I'm saying is that, I like the purchase I made, and will probably buy more if they go on sale again.

Yes zero problems at 70 yards.  I remember once with this combination at 35 yards (give or take 5 yards) separating the head from the body on a Canada goose.  The head almost landed in the guys blind next to me.  It may take me a few shots to get the lead down but once the first one falls its game over.  12 years of hunting ducks and geese in Canada.  Shooting 300 to 500 of them every year between 6 guys.  I've bought about every shell possible.  I'll take the cheapest case of fast steel 1500+fps, Winchester, fiochi, Federal, Remington, Kents, you name it over anything with a higher price tag.  Price being the same I'm shooting remingtons.  Too bad Browning didn't make a shell.  Then I'd have the best of both worlds. ;)
