Who's going?! I haven't been that excited all week until about a hour ago. Not really expecting a monster to come by but will be nice to be in a tree again watching the woods come to life. Is everyone else going? Where? Anything special on the hit list?

No bucks on the trail cams yet.  I have other critters to hunt for the next 2 to 3 weeks.  Bucks should start showing up soon

I always go out for the opener. So I will be out tomorrow but taking it slow this season I have a few good ones on camera.
Hunting is not life and death. It is more important than that.

I did sit out last night, and came to the conclusion that I need to trim my shooting lanes better. That, and the skeeters still suck even with the thermocell. A coupl last years fawns walked through, that was it.

I sat Saturday evening and seen nothing. Sat around some oaks and nothing hit the acorns around there that evening.

dakids and I could have tagged out form my porch on Saturday evening.  Of course, they would have been fawns unless one of us tried a 40 yard shot at the doe.

Who's going?! I haven't been that excited all week until about a hour ago to get the best bowstring serving material. Not really expecting a monster to come by but will be nice to be in a tree again watching the woods come to life. Is everyone else going? Where? Anything special on the hit list?

You can bet I'll be there for the opener. I was trying to put off how excited I was but couldn't get over it. Now I've been scrub hunting and checking the bushes for deer. I'm going to be just sitting iny stand to check for deer every day until the opener. LETS GOOOOOOOOOO

We trimmed up the shooting lanes. The boy will be hunting tomorrow, and so will I.
He'll be hunting here, and I'll be on another property.

I'm sitting out now ....we must have gotten another skeeter hatch, cause they are relentless even with the thermocell.
