Welcome northendave. I have a 56 merc that needs some tender loving care. I would say the skin is thick as a elephant if not thicker.

Nice to see you northerndave! Pull up a chair and have some coffee while I get someone to throw another log on the fire.  :campfire:

Thanks for the welcome, I recognize ditch from another forum, hi there!

A 56 Merc sounds very cool.

Current projects in my shop are a 69 Mach1 mustang, a 1958 Plymouth belvedere and a 69 Ford ranchero.

We have about -23 this morning, I see areas south of us got colder.

Some of you guys maybe remember HSO shenanigans such as the "technical questions" thread that went off the rails.

Perma banned, I don't think my children or even my grandchildren can sign up at those forums. Lmao!

Which raises a serious question...

I'm heading to lake of the woods next Friday, should I bring the auger extension or leave it at home?

:)

Last reports I got, you won't need an extension. Next week we will have a heat wave....

Hi Dave.  Are you sure you have enough room in your vehicle to bring an auger extension?  That is a big piece of equipment....  Welcome Dave...   Fun bunch of guys here.  Low stress....

Good call, extensions are so heavy too, why risk the additional weight right?

Welcome Dave. I think the extension might take up to much room. Bring a chisel instead to finish the bottom of the hole if you don't get thru with the auger. Much easier that way. ;) ;) :bonk: :bonk:

Last I heard was 8-10 and that was Friday. I myself did not get out there this weekend. Decided to work on garage projects where it was warm. Being that I hung out inside I did not talk to any of the neighbors either. If I hear anything new I will report it.
